by Lyn for everyone
Finally had the van packed with everything including Dave's Thunderbird and rolled my Guzzi back into the shed as the weather didn't look conducive to riding with a sore back! (I will get to ride one of these years! :-) Found some still waiting at Rutherford Maccas so headed off into much brighter weather up ahead. Everyone should take note here - it never rains at Nundle! Yes some years it has felt like snow!! but once again we had crystal blue skies & relatively warm temperatures for the weekend!

After a great lunch at the Wallabadah Hotel we arrived at Nundle for the usual meet and greet on the Friday arvo and long into the night :-)) All still managed to rise early for set up in the park and sort out the entries along with quite a few late entries on the day. In all we had just over 50 bikes take off for this year's pleasant loop out through Kootingal, Nemingha, Tamworth etc. with a lunch break at Dungowan and back to the park for the display and judging. We also had a much welcomed yummy 'real' coffee break along the way too this year! Needless to say the mobile coffee van is already booked for next year!!

All bikes returned to the park around 3 to 4pm in the arvo where the boys were kept busy with some serious judging :-)) So many beautiful motorcycles as usual!

It was a very happy crowd that filled the pub that night for the presentations, the telling of tall stories, and simply catching up with everyone, some of whom unfortunately we don't get to see very often. Many partied until the wee hours of the morning and all too soon it was time for goodbyes until next time at breakfast around the campfire of the caravan park kitchen.

All in all, another top Nundle weekend - next year our flyers will be out early and we hope to have more accommodation listed so no one misses out! But just make sure you book as soon as possible so you are not disappointed.

Cheers for now,
Lyn

PS - Apologies for not having a pic of everyone that received a trophy AND I didn't get any of Sunday morning breakfast and goodbyes! I know others had their cameras snapping so hopefully we'll have a few more to add soon.

Hi Kev, 'Jinx' is Dave Priestley, shown here in this pic receiving his trophy for that very nice Bonny, which apparently another of our Club member's (George) is responsible for the top paint job :-))
